stunning views and close access to nature and dining spots
I had a fantastic time at the resort, especially enjoying the gorgeous views of the lake while relaxing in the outdoor onsen, and I loved how it was just a short stroll to both the scenic Yamasen Bridge and delightful cafes like Cafe Auru, making it super easy to indulge in some leisurely city walks.

Positive, The outdoor onsen was amazing, offering stunning views. Our room had a cozy tatami area and was spacious for a family of four. Dinner was a fantastic mix of Japanese and French cuisine, and we absolutely loved the desserts. The live harp music in the lounge added a nice touch. 😊

A cozy stay by the lake
Waking up each morning to enjoy the stunning landscape of Lake Shikotsu was unforgettable. The buffet featured an incredible mix of Japanese and French dishes that left my family delightfully satisfied.
Despite the exceptional offerings, the air conditioning in the room was a bit fixed and made the first night less comfortable. A scenic walk to the lake was halted by the lack of breeze on a hot evening.

Unboxing my experience
This resort was a delightful escape! With stunning landscapes and a warm atmosphere, we enjoyed exceptional service. The buffet was a standout, blending flavors from Japanese and French cuisines. The private onsen in the room was a luxurious treat, though the decor could use a touch of charm. Truly a memorable experience.

The outdoor onsen provided a stunning view of the surrounding landscape, making it an unforgettable experience.
The check-in experience felt a bit impersonal, lacking the warmth typically found in high-end Japanese hospitality.

The beautiful surroundings and spacious room with a private onsen gave my family a perfect spot to unwind. The kids loved the delicious Japanese breakfast, and we appreciated the easy access to hiking trails nearby for some family adventures.
My children wished there were more activities dedicated to kids.

I stayed in the Presidential Suite with Open-Air Bath. The room was spacious and had a nice setup, but honestly, it felt a bit basic for the price. It lacked some charm compared to the common areas. The onsen was a highlight, though! The open-air bath in the room was cool and super relaxing. Just wished the decor matched the luxury vibe of the hotel more!

Couple looking for relaxation
The outdoor onsen is lovely, I was outside soaking in the water while the mountain breeze was hitting my face,, absolutely perfect. The breakfast was so fresh and left me wanting more,, a welcome change from my usual scrambled eggs.
It wasn’t exactly a bargain,, but for what you get, I’d say it’s acceptable.

The spacious room with tatami mats and a cozy couch was a perfect getaway, complete with a lovely view. Enjoying a variety of sake while listening to live harp music added to the relaxing ambiance. However, the dining options could be improved for a longer stay.
